How We Make Money

We believe in being transparent about how Ottano Storage works.

Ottano has evaluated more specialist vehicle storage locations than any other provider we are aware of in the UK, giving us an unusually broad view of the market and what good storage should look like.

We are also one of the UK’s largest buyers of specialist vehicle storage capacity. That scale allows us to secure dedicated Ottano spaces across the country, often with exclusive arrangements that are not otherwise available to customers.

Depending on the location, the price you pay through Ottano may be the same as the facility’s own rate, lower, or higher. You contract with Ottano Storage Ltd, and the price reflects the wider service, flexibility and access that comes with storing through us.

That can include 1. access to storage capacity that may not otherwise be available, 2. a digital portal to manage your storage and vehicle access, 3. more flexible access arrangements, 4. preferential positioning of your car within certain facilities, 5. higher insurance limits at some locations, 6. the ability to move between Ottano locations subject to availability, 7. complimentary Ottano membership, 8. member-only drives, and 9. access to the wider Ottano community.

We are open about this because we believe the Ottano Storage proposition offers a level of service, access and flexibility that is difficult to match elsewhere. Whether that added value is right for you is entirely your choice.

Our Standards

What We Check Before You Hand Over The Keys

We have dedicated Ottano Storage spaces within carefully selected facilities across the UK. Before a location is offered to you as a storage option, we assess the environment, security, insurance, access and vehicle care available, then clearly set out the differences so you can choose the right Ottano storage solution for your car.

  • Storage EnvironmentWe detail the type and quality of storage available, including whether it is dry, indoor, insulated, ventilated or humidity controlled. We also show the different storage packages available at each location and what is included within each tier.
  • SecurityWe set out the measures protecting your car, including CCTV, alarms, controlled access, monitoring and secure key management, giving you a clear view of how each location protects high value vehicles.
  • InsuranceWe explain the insurance protection that applies while your vehicle is stored, including the level of cover and any relevant conditions. Where higher limits are available through Ottano, this can provide greater protection for sports, prestige and supercars.
  • AccessWe make clear how and when you can access your car, including notice requirements and collection arrangements. Ottano is often able to secure more flexible access arrangements, with access requests managed through your digital portal.
  • Vehicle CareWe show what care is available while your car is stored, including battery conditioning, tyre checks, vehicle movement, maintenance and additional services, many of which can also be requested and managed through your Ottano portal.
